Altium Library

My personal (excel) database backed component library for Altium Designer

Overview

Altium Library is an Excel-backed database library that provides altium footprints and schematic symbols for various components. While the components in the library have been verified and used, there are no guarantees made regarding their accuracy, so it is recommended to check footprints, symbols, and pinouts against manufacturer datasheets before use. Users are encouraged to raise an issue if any inconsistencies are found and contribute by adding components or suggesting alterations via opening an issue or a pull request.

Features

  • Excel-backed database library for altium footprints and schematic symbols
  • Verification and usage of most components in the library
  • Option to add components or suggest alterations by opening an issue or a pull request

Installation

To install Altium Library, follow these steps:

  1. Add altium-library.dblib to your project or to the environment by navigating to DXP->Preferences->Data Management->Installed Libraries.
  2. Note that due to limitations of Excel, ensure you open the Excel database file before opening Altium to ensure Excel has write access.
