Overview

tc-imba's Gatsby Personal Website Template for Academic Usage is a website template based on Gatsby's RolwinReevan Portfolio template using ant-design. It has been rewritten specifically for academic usage with the assistance of Reapor-Yurnero. This template allows users to easily create a personal website for academic purposes.

Installation

To set up the project, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the project using the repository link.
  2. Install the project dependencies by running the command npm install in the project directory.
  3. Start the development server by running the command npm start in the project directory.
  4. Open the source code and start editing to customize the website according to your needs.
  5. The website will be running at http://localhost:8000. You can view the site in your browser.

Note: A second link, http://localhost:8000/___graphql, is also provided. This is a tool that allows you to experiment with querying your data. You can learn more about using this tool in the Gatsby tutorial.

Deployment

  • Local: The static website will be built in the example/public folder. You can use Apache or nginx to serve the content.
  • github.io: The project supports automatic deployment through GitHub Actions. It is already configured in the .github/workflows/main.yml file and typically does not require modification. The static website will be built on the gh-pages branch in your GitHub repository.
