Template for cloud-native applications and microservices running as containers/functions on Kubernetes, Docker Compose, or cloud. You can choose the stack during project creation.

Overview

The full-stack-template is a cloud-native application and microservices template that can be deployed on various platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Compose, serverless (FaaS), or virtual machines. It allows for flexible implementation changes within the containers and can be used on public cloud or on-premise private cloud. The template is focused on DevOps and supports multiple stack options for project creation or custom implementation.

Installation

To create a new project from the template, run taito project create full-stack-template in the command line. To upgrade the project to the latest version of the template, run taito project upgrade. It is important not to modify files with a "do-not-modify" note, instead improve the original files of the template and then upgrade. For more information, refer to Taito CLI.

Existing projects not using Taito CLI can be migrated to the full-stack-template by running taito project migrate full-stack-template in the project's root folder.

The template supports both monorepo and multirepo approaches. For multirepo, create a separate project for each microservice based on the template and define a common taito_namespace in scripts/taito/project.sh if shared namespace is desired. Environment descriptions can also be placed in a separate repository.
