Couscous is good.

Overview:

Couscous is a tool that generates a GitHub pages website from markdown documentation. It aims to be a simple and easy-to-use solution for creating and publishing online documentation.

Features:

  • Website Generation: Couscous follows a list of steps to process the Project model object, making it easy to write and test. These steps include loading the configuration file, installing dependencies, loading markdown files, rendering markdown content, and writing processed files to the target directory.
  • Deployment: Couscous uses a deployment strategy that involves cloning the repository, checking out the gh-pages branch, generating the website, committing the changes, and pushing them to the repository.
  • Extensibility: Couscous is designed to be simple and easy to extend. It uses PHP-DI for dependency injection and allows for customization by configuring the list of steps in the config.php file. In the future, it plans to support multiple deployment strategies.
