Installation

To get started with the Next 13 Boilerplate for Programmatic SEO Campaigns, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository: git clone git@github.com:agamm/pseo-next.git pseo-example
  2. Install the dependencies: npm i
  3. Start Docker for local PostgreSQL: docker-compose up -d (for local PostgreSQL DB)
  4. Open http://localhost:3000/ to view the development environment.
  5. Check the Development section for further instructions.
  6. Rename Development.env.example to .env and update the necessary parameters if needed.
  7. Place all your landing pages (Home page, about, terms, etc.) in the /src/app/(site) folder.
  8. Write your blog posts as Markdown files in the /posts folder.
  9. Change the layout of your blog in the /src/app/blog folder.
  10. Create your Programmatic variants in the /src/variant/[slug] folder. Example: yoursite.com/hotels/spain-summer-2023 with variant="hotels" and slug="spain-summer-2023".
  11. Uncomment the comments in the relevant files to actually fetch data from your database.
  12. Connect your project to Prisma by adding your schema in /prisma/schema.prisma and running npx prisma migrate dev --name init and npm run dbDeployment.
  13. Connect your repository to Vercel and add your environment variables.
  14. In Vercel, change the build command to npm run prod:build.
